非洲政坛，女性出头天
Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf在2006年当选为赖比瑞亚总统，成为首位非洲女性总统。从那之后，其他非洲女性也相继决定参选总统，例如近来在贝南、喀麦隆、迦纳、几内亚、刚果民主共合国与尼日等国均有类似情况出现。
